Call for events for PHF 2014

Event registration for the 2014 Plymouth History Festival is now open!

Earlier this year we had a massive programme of events across the City throughout May for the first-ever Plymouth History Festival. We’re hoping next year will be even better.

A number of the organisations who were involved last year have already expressed an interest in taking part again. If you’re interested in getting involved in next year’s Festival and running one or more events during May 2014 please go to the ‘Plymouth History Festival 2014’ page to see what information you need to provide.  We are particularly looking for events that will take place on the following dates:

Thursday 1 May
Monday 12 May
Saturday 17 May
Monday 18 May
Thursday 22 May
Friday 23 May
Tuesday 27 May
Wednesday 28 May
Thursday 29 May

We look forward to hearing from you!

  1. Hello,
I have liaised with Jo Cole and made a provisional submission for Thursday 28 May, 6:30 – 8:00pm, room 406 in The Babbage Building,Plymouth University for Plymouth Global Book Club.
We will be discussing “The Speech” by Gary Younge, which puts Martin Luther King’s speech into its historical context.
We will also explore Plymouth’s past and present-day actions to promote human rights internationally.
We have contact details, etc which I can send in a separate e-mail as the logos, etc will not copy to this page.
    With thanks
